Foreign holdings of Treasuries actually shrinking

Over at ZeroHedge, they’ve done a nice analysis:  Foreigners Dump $74 Billion In Treasurys In 6 Consecutive Weeks: Biggest Sequential Outflow In History

Here’s one chart they produced to illustrate the point:

If you look at the detail on MAJOR FOREIGN HOLDERS OF TREASURY SECURITIES at the US Treasury site, you’ll see that the holders that have been shrinking their holdings significantly include Caribbean banking centers, Hong Kong, and Russia.  Russia’s holdings have shrunk 33% since the beginning of the year.
