Ratio of federal tax receipts to GDP

This ratio has been fairly stable for quite a while. Of course the receipts number is a hard number (actual receipts) while the GDP number is a rough estimate (due to measurement issues).  The ratio has been lower than average over the last decade largely due to the Bush tax cuts enacted early in his term.  It is inexcusable not to let them expire.
