On Chinese trade policy

Found here:

“If China would embrace free trade, and use their balance of trade to buy Italian sports cars, German MRI machines and American farm equipment, both they and we would be better off.

But then they’d be trading the hard work of the many for expensive benefits for the few! Instead they’re being fair about it and trading the hard work of the many for US treasury notes.

Seriously, if there are so few world products a country needs, why accept world currencies?

The schadenfreude of seeing America impaled on its debt can not be worth so much self denial.”
